This is a truly inspiring story and accomplishment by the “DIY Girls” which stands for “Do It Yourself” Girls who’ve just invented, for homeless people, a solar paneled tent that converts into a backpack. It comes equipped with “button powered lights, two USB ports a micro-USB port and…testing a sanitizing UVC light…” Yeah. Quite awesome.  DIY began in 2012, with 35 participants and grew to 650 across Los Angles County. Their mission is to increase girls interest in technology and engineering. All participants are from low-income families, and they wanted to do more for people, and the growing number of homeless persons within their communities.
